*Micah has just over a week left of preschool. First year down! I can't believe how big he is and how much he has improved over the last year! Having outside help/reinforcement has been really good for him. I volunteered one day at his school and LOVED seeing everything they do and how well my shy little boy gets along with the other kids!
*Micah also finished up his tee-ball season. I have to say that watching 4 year old boys play was the highlight of my week. They did get better throughout the weeks and even remembered which bases to run to! They gave them a trophy that Micah thinks is the coolest thing ever that they only give to the best teams...they ALL get one. :)
*Micah and Hailey continue to become great friends. I really am amazed at how well they play together. I'm not saying they are perfect all the time, they are siblings after-all and what siblings don't fight, but there isn't usually much in the fighting/screaming category with these two. (However we have discovered sticking tongues at each other!) It helps that Hailey idolizes Micah and wants to do everything he does! I love to sit in the other room and listen to them giggle and talk! Now that we have Hailey in a bed some mornings I even wake up to them already playing. The other day I walked into this... According to Micah they are playing "spaceships".

*After giving up on Hailey and the whole potty training thing (she started holding everything all day long I was worried about what medical issues would follow if it continued) she decided to do it on her own. Who knew the passive approach would work with her? Even when she has a diaper or a pull-up on she asks to go! She's not perfect at it yet (I'm still afraid to push it too much since it sent her over the edge last time) but she's very close. She'll even go in public restrooms which use to terrify Micah! We are still working on getting her to go "stinky" in the potty but I'm happy with the progress she has made! Hopefully she won't take a step backwards when the baby comes.
*This pictures shows why markers are temporarily band from our house. I can't turn my back for one second with this girl. I don't know if you can tell from this picture (camera phone quickness) but it was all over her face, arms and legs!

*I am now exactly 34 weeks and am anxiously awaiting our little one to arrive. I am really starting to get uncomfortable as she has found her new favorite spot in my ribs and sleeping...well, it's kind-of a joke sometimes. I know it's sooo close and the next 6 weeks will fly by but when she's kicking my bladder and I have shooting pains down my legs it's hard to keep focussed! Oh the joys of pregnancy! However, I will admit that as uncomfortable as it can be at times I love feeling her move inside me. It's like nothing else and I know it's special to me. Eric might feel her on the outside of my belly but no one feels her movement like I do! This really is a blessing and a miracle. I've been trying to focus on the positive things as I literally waddle to the bathroom every hour...at least.
*Eric got a new job, or rather promoted at his same company. His official title is Client Services Data Analyst. Don't ask me to explain because I really don't understand. He still works with Medicare just on a different level and he does more with computers. That's about all I know! We are very proud of him and excited for what this new position and area of work will hold for him in the future!
*Last but not least we are excited to announce the newest member to our extended family! Eric's sister, Stephanie, had her baby last night! They named him Carter and we are very excited to have another boy in the family (poor Micah is the only one on that side)! As Hailey's love for babies continues (real babies of course, none of this fake doll stuff for her!) I've been using going to see baby Carter as a bribe all day. Not many bribes work with Hailey but this one has! I too have been very anxious to get a chance to go see him at the hospital! Maybe then I'll get a picture to post. Congrats to the Hobbs family!

Oh, Sarah, I feel your pain! You have such a great attitude about your pregnancy, though, and that makes a big difference. I laughed at your comments about waddling to the bathroom and sleeping being a joke. :) The things we do as mothers. Hang in there - six more weeks! By the way, you should post more pictures of YOU! I'd love to see your cute belly!
Good luck with these last few weeks of your pregnancy! Can't wait to see pics of your new little baby!
It is great to hear what you have been up to I was thinking about you the other day wondering how much longer you had until I could see a baby post. I know this is the hardest time mostly to handle the ones that are out of the belly so it is great to hear that you are keeping good spirits! Hang in there!
Love the spaceship picture...where is the prego one?
