10 Things That Make Me HAPPY!

2. Football season!
3. Scrapbook sales
4. Visiting with old friends
5. Trying a new recipe and actually having it turn out!

All tuckered out!

After a day of "butting" heads I tried to put Micah to bed early. Eric had to work late and then go straight to a Young Men's activity so I was extra tired after being on my own all day. Lately Micah has been very good at testing my patience and I just had enough and decided to put him to bed. After he came back out of his room 3 or 4 times, and I was thoroughly frustrated, I finally told him to go read a book or something, but he was not to come out of his room again. Amazingly enough he walked back down stairs and I heard him shut the room to his door. This NEVER happens! And even more amazing, I didn't hear a peep out of him for the next 30-40 minutes! I decided I needed to go find out why he was being so silent. As I walked downstairs I noticed that the light was on in his room. Fully expecting to open the door and find him playing I actually found this. I had to walk out of the room I started laughing so hard and I didn't want to wake him up. And of course I had to take a picture because he looked so cute! :) Enjoy!

Micah is 3!

Hard to believe that my little boy is 3 years old today (the 15th)! The time flies and he changes so fast! When I started this blog last month I "introduced" Micah already so I don't feel the need to repeat myself. I'll just say that we love Micah very much and we are so very grateful we are blessed to have him as our son! Last Saturday we had a birthday party for him. His new favorite thing is trains so we had a "train party"! Here are a few pictures...

New train set and camera!

Micah's first camera! He LOVES to take pictures!

Race car!

We now have a kids table!

Micah and his train cake! (For the whole week before the party he kept asking, "Mom, train cake?" "Mom, I have my happy birthday train cake?")

Hailey Girl

I've noticed that I have more posts about Micah than I do Hailey. This isn't because I love her any less, because I love that girl more than I can express, it's just the way it works out sometimes! Micah is also in a stage right now that is pretty hilarious and so more "posted". I'm sure when she gets old enough she'll give me the whole 2nd child sob story so in an attempt to make things more equal I am devoting this post to her. This is just a few little updates about what she is doing right now... Hailey Girl (as we have come to call her, I'm not sure how it started but it stuck! Even Micah calls her that and it's pretty cute!) is now 8 1/2 months. Her first tooth finally broke throw last week! Hallelujah! And I'm sure it's buddy on the bottom is sure to follow. I know many kids are walking by now but Hailey is taking her sweet time and is almost fully crawling. (Honestly, I'm grateful for every day I'm not trying to keep her out of things!) She will get up on both knees and just rock and then push herself forward one side at a time. She has gotten pretty fast so I'm sure it is only a matter of days before she is full blown crawling. One of my favorite things about Hailey is how much she is completely obsessed with her brother! She is MESMERIZED by him! Micah is the only one who can truly make her laugh. Quite often in the car I will hear both of them back there giggling! Since Hailey still faces backwards she has a perfect view of Micah. He loves to make funny faces at her and do goofy things and it makes them both laugh. Neither Eric or I, trying our absolute hardest, can make her laugh like Micah can. I love that there is already a special bond between them! I am excited to take Hailey in for her 9 month check-up to see how much she has grown. For those of you that don't remember how tiny Micah always was as a baby, and still is pretty skinny, would be surprised to see Hailey and know she came from the same gene pool! She is huge and it is absolutely adorable! She's wearing 12 month clothes and 18 month pajamas! I can't keep this girl clothed! We love our little Hailey Girl so much and we're so glad she's part of our family!

No more monkeys jumping on the bed!

Here is Micah and Kylie (cousin and partner in crime) jumping on his bed. I walked in to find that they had thrown absolutely everything off Micah's bed and were jumping and laughing hysterically! I have to admit it was pretty cute!

Football Micah

I had to share this funny story about Micah...that kid just gets funnier every day! Saturday night Eric was at the Priesthood session with his dad and Hailey was being cranky so I had just barely put her to bed. It was still a little early for Micah to go to bed so I let him watch some TV so I could clean up the kitchen. Of course, he wanted to watch football! He sat on the couch perfectly happy and giving me the play-by-play! Every few seconds I'd hear, "Mom, Mom, he threw it again!", "Mom, Mom, he fumbled it!", "Mom, Mom, touchdown!" I don't know if that's exactly what was happening but, he definitely didn't want me to miss a thing!
