Spontaneous combustion

Friday morning Eric walked into our pantry to find himself some breakfast. He stepped on something sharp and looked down to realize there was some glass on the floor. Puzzled he looked around and saw our crockpot, sitting on the shelf, and the lid had completely shattered. Nothing had fallen on it and I hadn't even use it in weeks so this was just a random case of spontaneous combustion. I thought it was interesting so I wanted to share the pictures!

Milk Mystery?

So I'm wondering if anyone has any advice about the transition to milk for babies. Hailey hates it and won't drink it. I've tried it warm, cold, bottle, sippy cup, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry flavored. She not only hates it but she tries to wipe it off her tongue! What kind of kid doesn't like chocolate milk?! Anyway, I can't very well wean her from formula and a bottle if she won't drink milk so I'm wondering if someone else has a great idea I haven't tried yet. Micah took right to milk so this is a new mystery for me. Let me know what worked for you! Thanks!

Micah-isms

Micah is continually saying funny things and I've decided I need to be better at recording them. I think I will remember them but I never do so I figure my blog is the best place to put them! Here is the latest...

Sunday I was in my scrapbook room trying to get a few things done and Micah was in there with me "helping" (which is probably why I am SO far behind!). He started telling me stories, or something, and probably sat there talking to me for 10 minutes straight. Anyone that knows Micah knows that is pretty unusual! Most of what he was saying I didn't understand but it made me laugh and I said to him, "Micah, you're funny!" He shook his head and said, "No Mom, I'm just cool." No self-esteem issues here!

On a completely unrelated note...why is it that kids get sick at the most inconvenient times? When you have nothing going on they are perfectly healthy but as soon as you have some plans they get sick! Well, maybe it's just my kids! Today was going to be a pretty full day. My sister, Becky, and I have decided once a week to switch off watching each other's kids for a few hours so we can have some time to ourselves. I had it all planned out of places I was going to go which are hard, or impossible, to take my children with me...including getting my eyebrows waxed which are so bad I'm going to need a weed whacker to fix them! Not to mention Eric left early this morning for some work training in Brigham City and will be going straight from work to young mens because they are leaving early to go night skiing so he won't be home until late tonight. These are just a few of the things going on today and what happens? Hailey throws up last night! Well, there is always next week!
