Shoes

So I'm on a little bit of a soapbox today so if you are not interested in reading my tyrants then feel free to skip ahead.... Why is it so difficult to find reasonably priced shoes or sandals for boys? Why do stores give you one, maybe two, options but you look at the girl side and you have at least 15 options to choose from?!!! I have to admit that I normally am grateful for fewer decisions to make. Those of you that know me know I am a TERRIBLE decision maker and I hate to do it! Maybe it stems from being the youngest of 5 children so I never got the chance to make the decisions but whatever the reason...to this day I still hate making decisions no matter how great or small (it drives Eric crazy!). However, I would still like to maybe have a few options when it comes to my child's footwear but preferably something without a character on them! I have been everywhere looking for sandals for Micah! (Ok maybe not 'everywhere' but it sure feels like it sometimes when you are lugging 2 kids around.) I found ones I loved at Target but the 8's gave him absolutely no growing room and the 9's were way too large! Which unfortunately is something I have found from other stores as well. So my next question is...why do they not make half sizes for kids? I have seen very few and why? Because every child is suppose to be cookie cutter and fit the recommend size for their age? (Sense my sarcasm?)  Alright, that is probably enough out of me today. But if any of you have found some nice sandals for small boys let me know!

Micah-isms

Eric is Micah's preferred "bedtime buddy" and I have to say that I do not mind delegating all of his bedtime rituals! A few nights ago I heard Micah screaming at the top of his lungs so I rushed downstairs to see what was wrong. Micah ran to my arms and was sobbing! I asked him what the problem was and he glared and pointed straight to Eric!

Today we were out running errands and out of nowhere Micah yells, "Mom! It's an octagon!" I'm assuming he was pointing at a stop sign but I did not see it myself...I was mostly shocked that he even knew what an octagon was! Thank you Diego or Backyardagains or Mickey Mouse or whoever taught him that!

Christmas in April???

So my calendar says it's April but by looking outside I would have never guessed! Granted we live on top of a mountain but this is ridiculous! I'm ready to move to Florida! Who's with me!?

This is kinda cool how the snow hangs off our balcony!

Yes, that is snow up against our window. The wind was blowing like crazy last night!

Happy Easter!

These are a few pictures from our Easter weekend. The kids were finally feeling better and Micah was old enough this year to understand the whole "Easter Bunny" thing more. He was so excited! But that kid gets excited anytime candy is involved!

I have an Aunt and Uncle that currently live in Russia and gave us an egg decorating kit from there. Micah had a blast!

Micah's Easter basket

Hailey got a baby in her Easter basket...she loves babies and carries them around wherever she goes!

Hunting Eggs!

Showin' off their loot!
(And yes...Hailey is still in her pajamas!)

I couldn't get Micah to smile or Hailey to sit still so this is as close as I got for a picture of the 2 of them!

Randomness...

Proof that spring came briefly before the snow started again! Hailey loved her first time on the slide!

Hailey's first experience with grass...she wasn't really sure about it! She loved the wind blowing in her face though!

Mischievous...

Hailey LOVES to have her back scratched! She'll sit on my lap and shake around until I start. It's pretty funny! Also, this picture shows that she actually has hair! It is just all in the back!

Sick days...no fun! The only good thing about when Hailey is sick is that she will finally cuddle with me. :)

The only time Micah falls asleep in random places in the middle of the day is when he is sick. Poor kiddo! He's pretty cute when he sleeps though!

Would he lay down on his bed? Of course not! Micah had to watch a movie on Dad's computer! He didn't last long before he conked out though!

Micah was so proud of himself that he put his jacket on all by himself!
