Happy 1st Birthday Hailey!

Hailey Ann Hansen was born one year ago today! (Give or take a few hours.) I can't believe my baby turns 1 today! Where has the time gone? I love her so much and am grateful for all she is teaching me! I never really understood when people would say having children teaches you things but I definitely understand now! Some days I think Hailey's lone purpose is to teach me patience since it's something I've never really had any of. She must have inherited my hormones because there is a very fine line between smiles and cries! Yet she has has such a bubbly personality and a smile that will melt your heart! And when Hailey laughs you can't help but laugh right along with her. I feel so blessed to have her as my daughter and truly look forward to see her grown and develop. Happy Birthday Hailey Girl! Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the last year!

Scrapbookers advice!

I need some advice from any and all scrapbookers out there! I have just been doing one scrapbook for our whole family so far. I didn't really think that much about it because we only had Micah. Now I'm starting when Hailey was born (I'm only 1 year behind, ah!) and now I'm wondering if I should be doing separate scrapbooks for the kids so they have their own scrapbooks. But I want one too so does that I mean I have to scrapbook almost all the same pictures 3 different times? At this point it wouldn't be too overwhelming to go back and re-do some pictures but I don't want to wish I had done something different 15 years down the road. I guess what I am wondering is how do you scrapbook your family's pictures. I know some do digital which makes things easier but I don't really like them plus scrapbooking is my only hobby so I don't want to give it up! Please share your ideas, what's worked, or hasn't worked for you. Thanks!!!

Reasons for a Mom AND a Dad

There is a reason kids should have both a Mom and a Dad. I was gone last night and so Eric put both the kids to bed. I woke up at 1:30 a.m. to Micah screaming at the top of his lungs. I ran in his room to find he had wet the bed because Eric forgot to put a diaper on him when he put him to bed. Micah is completely potty trained during the day but we still have a ways to go at night. So...it's nice to know I'm still needed around here! :)

Micah's pictures

Micah loves to take pictures. Here are a few he took of Hailey (sucking on Dad's keys, the things you stop caring about between kids #1 and #2). Pretty good, eh? Maybe there is a career in photography in his future!
