Makes me smile

Some days I second guess my mothering skills. I wonder why I decided to do it because I don't have nearly the patience or energy that I should. I see some women teaching or doing amazing things with their kids and I feel inadequate. I feel like I am just putting someone in timeout, running errands, picking up toys, or telling someone not to do something. When Micah and Hailey run to Eric the moment he walks in the door I wonder why I'm even around. But then I come across pictures like this...

and I smile and I feel overjoyed at how lucky I am to have the privilege to be the mother of these 2 little ones (and soon to be 3). I can't help but smile when I hear them giggling while playing together. Hailey wants to be with Micah all the time and its usually a mutual feeling. A hug or a kiss or a "I love you mom" is all I need to make my day better. I need to remember that all the "stuff" doesn't matter and has long as my kids are happy and healthy that is all that truly matters. I love my children more than I ever thought possible!

Seriously...HELP!

go2.wordpress.com.png
Ok, before I was just venting and complaining but now I really need help! As I am now at 25 weeks and time seems to be going faster and faster I realize this baby will be here in NO time! Well, it would really be a shame for this little girl to never get a name and I am more lost and confused about it than ever before. Seriously, I'm pathetic and I will be the first to admit it. It's just a name, it's not eternal...but repeating that to myself doesn't seem to help any. I am one that needs time to process names. Say it a few times, write it out, combine it with a middle name... I know 15 more weeks may sound like a long time but it is quickly approaching. So...HELP! Please please please PUH-LEEZE! help me by giving me any and all suggestions you might have. Your own kids names, family members, whatever. (Just don't suggest something you would be mad at me for using!) If you come up with something we end up using I will definitely give you credit! I just have so many names I like but don't know if they are "right" or if I'm still missing something. Who knew naming a child could be so frustrating. (Feel free to laugh at me...these pregnant hormones are getting the best of me!)

Kids Say The Darndest Things!

Micah

Micah has become very interested in this whole baby process. It's been surprising because usually he is just in his own world and could care less about things like this. The other night as I was putting him to bed he asked me when the baby was going to come out. It really bothers him that he can't see her. When I told him 'July' we then had to have a whole discussion about seasons and why the baby had to stay in Mommy's tummy that long. Micah then gave me this strange look and said, "And the baby comes out your mouth?" Oh how to explain that to a 4 year old boy! I just couldn't help but laugh!

Hailey

One day Hailey was sitting at the kitchen table coloring with crayons. I walked out of the room for no more than 30 seconds. When I returned I noticed that she had found a marker and colored ALL over her hands and face. She looked at me with a big grin and said, "Look Mom! Cinderella!"
